Before I began seeing Melissa, I had attempted to diagnose and self-treat my anxiety and depression for nearly a decade. During this time my symptoms only became worse and one issue manifested into struggles with eating, body image, confidence, and more.

After accepting that therapy was a necessary step to take, I began weekly sessions with Melissa where we focused on developing cognitive-behavioral strategies. The exercises she provided me as weekly homework were always manageable, relevant, an… Read more

our 7-year old … Blessings to the counselors who have been aiding our family to smooth the daily life and early development of our child. She absolutely loves her counselor and cannot wait to talk to her. Such a positive influence to counterbalance what this modern life throws at a child!

Afton has been a wonderful therapist for our 7yo. She is patient and inventive with our child. She listens to all of our concerns and adapts her therapy techniques for our child. She has given us many strategies to try. We would recommend her highly to any of our friends.

I love the new office! It’s very clean, comfortable and pleasant to be in! The care I have received has been invaluable and I would recommend Intown Counseling and Scott highly. I owe a great deal of my personal development and understanding of myself to Scott and his expertise. I am so very thankful!

Melissa has been an amazing therapist. I have gained so much insight about myself from our discussions. Her willingness to allow me to be an equal in my own therapy has been invaluable. I truly leave each session feeling empowered. Our sessions do not feel prescribed or routine. Instead they feel honest, authentic, and full kernels of truth that I can readily apply to my everyday life. Melissa has been a tremendous guide for me on my path to wellness of the mind, body and spirit.

Scott and his practice Intown Counseling & Wellness are a blessing for the intown Atlanta community. He is an excellent counselor and therapist, that helps his clients succeed in many different aspects. He is very experienced, well-respected in the community, and a genuinely nice person. He treats all of his clients with respect and dignity. I highly recommend Scott Leenan for all of your mental health needs.

Scott helped me to really tease apart a complicated issue I was dealing with. My ability to deal with things was compromised by the complexity, and he helped me to figure out how to not overreact and also not under-react to the situation and what I was feeling. With Scott’s help, I feel that I am not only back on track, but with an upgraded train and maybe a new and better destination.

I have been seeing Scott Leenan close to 2 years. In this time, he has helped me explore my life experiences and relationships to come to a fuller understanding of myself. Some of the areas we have made a substantial a mount of progress in are the following:self evaluation, anxiety, addiction, self esteem, and bereavement.

He has created a comfortable and safe place for me to work on myself and has changed my perspective about several pessimistic outlooks I had on life.

He has shown he genuinely… Read more
